HAPPY KNUCKLE TUTORIAL

On this tutorial I am going to show how to remove some play that I detected on the knuckles.

The play is on the smaller bearing, it shifts a little up and down. This Gap is created by the natural stretching that happens during the drying of a plastic part after being removed from the mould. It's difficult to control and depends on the kind of material used.

Use a glue gun with BLACK STICK , the black one is not only black, it sticks the better and it's very elastic once dried, so it is perfect for us. Allow the gun to REACH MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE, we need the glue very very hot.

Place a small drop on the border of one knuckle piece.

Quickly use a bearing to push the gun, push firmly but don't apply too much force, remember we need to fill a gap.

Wait a few seconds for the glue to cool and remove bearing, probably you have put too much glue.

This is an example of too much.

Do you see that there is a little "wall"on the inside?. That is bad, we have to avoid that.

Remove the glue, it should come out easily by scratching it with your nail.

Repeat operation, this time smaller drop of glue.

Push with bearing again, wait few seconds and ...voila! no inside glue wall. This is what we look for.

Apologize for my dirty cutter, LOL.

Try to use a very sharp one and don't push the razor on the glue, but slide it up and down so you properly cut it and not unstick the whole drop.

Easy, only a thin coat of glue remaining.

Mount the bearings now before screwing, otherwise it will be difficult to insert them later (mostly the smaller one with the glue drop).

REMEMBER you need to mount the steering pin and link NOW.

And this is IMPORTANT: use the glue drop knuckle for the LOWER side of the knuckle, this will create a tiny but still negative camber angle on your tires which will help to stability.
screw the M2 bolts and , thats it , a happy no gap knuckle ! :-D
